In the presence of Prof. Dr. Essam El kordi, President of Alamein International University, Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University opened the work of Alexandria’s 11th International Conference on Structural Engineering, Geotechnical and Management, organized by the Department of Structural Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Saeed Allam, Vice-Chancellor of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and President of the Conference and Prof. Dr. Walid Abdeladim, Undersecretary of Engineering for Community Service, Dr. Mohamed Al-Hawaiti, President of the Conference, and Dr. Ahmed Tarabiya, Rapporteur of the Conference, A number of representatives of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and representatives of military colleges, Former Egyptian University Presidents and Vice Presidents and Chairpersons of Major Industrial and Construction Companies’ Boards, Alexandria Businessmen’s Association, the University’s Association of Engineers, Faculty and Researchers.

In his statement during the conference, Prof. Dr. Essam El kordi stressed on the importance of holding the conference periodically every three years, where the Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Structural Engineering have been keen to continue organizing the conference since 1990, in which he participated and contributed to the organization of the scientists of Alexandria University, Egyptian universities and scientists from the world’s most prestigious universities.

At the end of the conference, the attendees expressed their great pleasure at the hospitality, welcome and gratitude in adding scientific and practical expertise and strategies in the field of construction engineering, geotechnical and management.
