Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi – President of Alamein International University (AIU) and Prof. Dr. Hesham Gaber – Vice-President for Academic Affairs and within the framework of the sustainable development system established by AIU in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, AIU Sustainable Green Club made a field visit to (Bareeq) company for plastic recycling on Friday, October 21, 2022.
During the visit, a presentation was presented by the company’s management to introduce the mechanisms of recycling in addition to the different ways of making use of plastic bottles and how to convert them into plastic bottles which can be used in the food industry. This was followed by a student tour inside the factory accompanied by the company’s engineers who explained the recycling lines and the different types of machines used.
The different stages of recycling were also seen during the visit, starting with receiving bottles in the form of waste and how to clean them and convert them into products that can be used in the food industry.
The visit was organized by Ms. Donia Maged and Eng. Ahmed Mokhtar – officials of the Sustainable Green Club at Alamein International University (AIU).
