Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam El Kordi, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa ElNainay, Dean of the College, in collaboration with the Information Technology Institute at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will host the Smart Cities Hackathon from Thursday, October 26 to November 2, where a number of speakers from international companies and number of founders of distinguished companies in the information technology sector will participate to introduce the participating students to the latest technologies and ideas associated with smart cities.
Students from all fields of the university will participate in the hackathon, where student teams prepare a presentation on an idea that could serve smart cities and present it on Thursday, November 2, to select the best ideas.
Organizing the hackathon comes within the University’s vision and strategic plan towards building a generation of entrepreneurs and innovators, especially in the field of smart cities, to serve new cities in Egypt and the Arab world.
