ِIn continuation of AIU’s distinguished lecturer series, Prof. Dr. Essam Al-Kurdi, President of El Alamein International University, Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Khadija Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Gihan Gewaifel – Advisor to AIU President for internationalization and International cooperation welcomed Dr. Youssef Roman, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. The meeting included ways of joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, teaching and student exchange. The meeting was followed by a visit of the guest to the buildings of Alamein International University. On his part, Dr. Youssef Roman praised the university, its buildings, equipment and the programs offered by the university to its students, especially pharmacy and public health.After the reception, Dr. Youssef Roman met with professors and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, where he presented his latest research on pharmacogenomics and precision medicine and its applications in addressing health differences between individuals and groups. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mervat Kassem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alexandria University, Dr. Sherif Rostom and Dr. Hanan Al-Juwaili (AIU Advisor), Vice Deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alexandria University, Dr. Mohamed Atman, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and a group of pharmacy and public health professors.
