Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi, President of Alamein International University, received an American delegation from Virginia Tech University – USA, headed by Prof. Dr. Donald Hempson – Associate Vice President for International Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi welcomed the delegation and introduced Alamein International University, the faculties, programs and services provided to the students, as well as partnership agreements signed by the University, at both local and international levels. A tour was also made for the delegation to visit the laboratories and study rooms, as part of the University premises.
For his part, Prof.Dr. Donald Hempson thanked AIU president for hospitality and the full description given of the University. He also praised the university’s premises and the distinguished programs offered to AIU students, stressing Virginia Tech University keen interest to cooperate with Alamein International University in various fields of higher education and scientific research.
The meeting discussions also covered exploring the development of programs with common interest, to advance learning and development, as well as the USAID Teacher Excellence Initiative Activity.
