Alamein International University (AIU) is opening a job opportunity for the following position:

  • Purchasing Specialist

Job Description:

The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: –

  • Receive purchase needs from units
  • Issue Purchase orders
  • Follow up with vendors in aspects of deliveries, payments, and quality issues if any
  • Assure that the requestor’s needs were fulfilled on time
  • Procurement, sourcing, and contracting of materials, supplies, equipment, and services,
  • Handling the day-to-day activities of the Procurement department
  • Negotiate pricing and sourcing details with vendors.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Commerce or Business from an accredited university, other academic background could be considered in case of solid relevant work experience.  
  • 5 years minimum proven relevant work experience.
  • Maximum age: 35 years in 1/10/2024.
  • Computer and software skills including MS Office applications.
  • Experience in using ERP systems is a plus
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic, written and spoken (Voice recording with application is a must).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administration skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with prioritization. 
  • Applicant must hold Egyptian citizenship

Assessment Method:

Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews and presentations.
