Biography
Prof. Dr. Abd El-Latief M. Abd El-Latief is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, University of Alexandria, Egypt. With over two decades of academic and research experience, he is internationally recognized for his expertise in thermoelasticity, fractional calculus, viscoelasticity, and mathematical modeling. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. from the University of Alexandria, where he specialized in the application of fractional derivatives in thermoelasticity.
Dr. Abd El-Latief has authored and co-authored numerous high-impact research papers in journals such as International Journal of Solids and Structures, Journal of Thermal Stresses, and ZAMM. His contributions include advanced models in generalized thermoelasticity, semiconductor applications, and wave propagation in viscoelastic media.
Dr. Abd El-Latief is a recipient of the Excellence in Scientific Publication Award (2012) and the University Scientific Promotion Award (2016). He is an active member of the Egyptian Mathematical Society, and continues to mentor young researchers while contributing to cutting-edge advancements in applied mathematics and computational mechanics.
