About the City
New Alamein city is located within the administrative borders of Marsa Matrouh Governorate, with a length of 48 km from the international road (Alexandria – Matrouh). The borders of Alamein City begin from Wadi El-Natroun to El-Dabaa. It is considered one of the fourth generation cities.
The New Alamein City is an integrated city at the heart of the North West Coast. It includes all residential activities, cultural, touristic, industrial and research areas, a private university, international hotels, two presidential and cabinet buildings. It is implemented on a total area of 48, 917 acres, with a depth of more than 60 km south of the coastal strip. The targeted number of residents are nearly 3 million people.
The city is divided into touristic, historical and residential segments. The Urban Communities Authority and the Engineering Authority jointly establish the city’s facilities from a water station, infrastructure, sewage and electricity networks. The city has an international promenade along the beach.
The city of Alamein is unique in that it contains the latest technological and urban projects that are unparalleled in the Middle East. It will change the map of the entire North Coast and the concept on which it was established, as it will be a residential city that attracts citizens throughout the year, and not only in the summer season as usual.
