Biography
Gaafar El Halawani is an associate professor of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in the Faculty of Dentistry, AIU University. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University in 2007, attained his MDS degree in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2013 and PhD degree in 2017. He worked as a demonstrator in the Oral and Maxillofacial department, Alexandria university from 2009 to 2013 and as an assistant lecturer from 2013 to 2017. He also worked as a lecturer from 2017 to 2023 in the same department and as an associate professor from 2023 to 2024.
He participated in teaching for the undergraduate students in faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University from 2009- 2024 and for postgraduate students of the same faculty from 2017 to 2024. He was the course director for the fourth years students from 2017 to 2020 and for the fifth year students in 2023. He also participated in quality assurance unit of the same faculty and was the quality assurance coordinator of the oral and maxillofacial surgery department from 2017 to 2021. Moreover, he supervised 23 Master and PhD thesis and participated in evaluated of 3 thesis. He also published 14 academic studies in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
