Biography

Mohamed AbdelRahman Abdou, professor of communications and computer systems engineering. Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Alamein International University (www.aiu.edu.eg). Former Vice Dean of Informatics Research Institute, SRTA-City (www.srtacity.sci.eg). Former Associate Dean for graduate studies and researches at the Faculty of Engineering, Pharos University in Alexandria (www.pua.edu.eg). Meanwhile, he is a visiting professor at Alexandria University. He spent more than 27 years in academia, in research and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is conducting his research in Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) applications in computer vision, healthcare, machine translation, and other industrial and engineering applications.
Prof. Mohamed possesses a large experience with youth development and mentorship through several national and international projects and as a consultant for Entrepreneurship Education and knowledge technology transfer. Through his academic journey, he showed a clear mission statement: “Leader of academic activities enhancing quality of undergraduate/postgraduate education through excellence in teaching methodologies and peer reviewed research publications”. Prof. Mohamed has more than 50 publications in peer reviewed journals and reputable indexed conferences.
