Alamein International University (AIU) is opening a job opportunity for the following position:

  • Purchasing Supervisor

Job Description:

The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: –

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of purchasing 
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and controls
  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the purchasing team.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate pricing and sourcing details with vendors.
  • Conduct product and service quality appraisal.
  • Evaluate Supplier Performance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business from an accredited university, other academic background could be considered in case of solid relevant work experience.  
  • 15 years minimum proven purchasing work experience.
  • 3 years minimum proven managerial purchasing work experience
  • Maximum age: 50 years in 1/10/2024.
  • Computer and software skills including MS Office applications.
  • Experience in using ERP systems is a plus
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic, written and spoken (Voice recording with application is a must).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administration skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with prioritization. 
  • Applicant must hold Egyptian citizenship.

Assessment Method:

Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews and presentations.
