Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi – President of Alamein International University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber – Vice President for Academic Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Khadija Ismail – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
As part of the university’s health-supporting initiative, Professor Dr. Alaa Aboul-Fotouh from the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a seminar delivered by Dr. Ziad El-Gamal – Senior Clinical Pharmacist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, titled “Managing Prediabetes: A Clinical Pharmacist Perspective.”
The seminar addressed the topic of prediabetes and how to prevent the disease by following a balanced diet and engaging in moderate physical activity. The event was well-received by attendees, which included undergraduate students from the university, as well as some postgraduate students and faculty members. The lecture fostered an interactive environment between the speaker and the audience.
On the sidelines of the seminar, the university administration discussed with Dr. Ziad potential collaboration in areas of student training and the possibility of utilizing his expertise in teaching relevant courses to the Clinical Pharmacy program students.
