AIU Strengthens Ties with Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and Architects Association for Future Collaboration

Based on the keenness of Alamein International University to consolidate relations with various parties, especially those related to the professional practice of professions after graduation; Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed a delegation representing the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and the Egyptian Architects Association, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Remon Iskandar, Director of Academic Engineering Programs, and Dr. Amr Mamdouh, Representative of the Digital Architecture Program at the University. The visiting delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Saudi, First Deputy of the Engineers Syndicate and Head of the Alexandria Engineers Syndicate, Major General Eng. Mahmoud Arafat, Secretary General of the Engineers Syndicate, Architect Seif Abu El-Naga, Head of the Egyptian Architects Association, Architect Walid Arafa, winner of the International Award for Designing Beit Misr in Paris, Eng. Khaled Issa, Head of the Matrouh Engineers Syndicate, and Dr. M. Ahmed El-Zayat, Head of the Architecture Division Council of the General Syndicate of Engineers, in addition to the members of the Engineers Syndicate’s Management Office, the members of the Architecture Division Council of the Syndicate, and a large group of architects, members of the General Assembly of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, and a group of students from the Architecture Departments at Alexandria University, Alamein International University, and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.

The visit began at the university headquarters with a presentation of the university’s unique and distinguished policies, methodologies, capabilities, and initiatives. Then, a field tour was conducted for the visiting delegation to the various buildings and spaces of the university and the specialized laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering.

The guests expressed their admiration for the architectural design and the distinguished construction implementation of the university campus, which ensures a distinguished educational and life experience for the university members. They also expressed their amazement at the distinguished level of equipment and the types and numbers of specialized and modern devices in the laboratories, which are comparable to and often exceed the equipment of major prestigious universities worldwide. The guests also agreed on the university’s academic, research and practical excellence, and they agreed that the educational practices at the university are capable of producing distinguished graduates ready to compete in the local and international labor market. It was agreed with the leaders of the visiting delegation to start effective joint cooperation with the university in the interest of students and to produce graduates who are more prepared and ready for the needs of the labor market, and thus develop the practice of the engineering profession, especially architecture, in a way that benefits our beloved country, Egypt.
