Prof. Dr. Essam El kordi, President of Alamein International University, signed a new memorandum of understanding with Abertay University and Al Maktoum College of Graduate Studies (Scotland) today, Monday, September 18, 2023, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hesham Gaber – Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mostafa El-nainay – Dean of the College of Computer Science and Engineering, Prof. Dr. Maged Farouk – Advisor to the President of the University for Administrative and Information Systems, and on behalf of Abertay University and Al Maktoum College, Dr. Claire MacEachen – Dean of International and UK Partnerships at Abertay University, Prof. Alastair Irons – Deputy Vice Chancellor and Professor of Computer Science at Abertay University, alongside Dr. Abi AbuBakr Gaber AbuBakr – Vice Chancellor at Al Maktoum College of Graduate Studies, Dr. Alaa Jarad – Provost Chancellor at Al Maktoum College of Graduate Studies – Scotland.
The agreement includes cooperation between the two sides in a joint master’s program, where students will have the opportunity to obtain MBA and master’s degrees in the field of business. According to the agreement, the student will complete a two-year program, during which they will study the first academic year at AIU and obtain an MBA degree in business. After completing the second academic year of the program, which is implemented by Abertay University and Al Maktoum College of Graduate Studies, the student will have obtained an MBA degree in business from AIU and a master’s degree from Abertay University.
This agreement is an important step in enhancing academic cooperation and cultural exchange between AIU, Abertay University, and Al Maktoum College in Scotland, as through this cooperation, distinguished and globally recognized education is provided to students in the program’s main areas of interest, which contributes to enhancing their professional opportunities, community development and sustainable economy.
