UNESCO‑endorsed Summer Training in Quantum Computing & Programming hosted by AIU & QWorld

As part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), Alamein International University (AIU)—under the patronage of President Prof. Essam Elkordi, Vice President Prof. Hesham Gaber, and Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering Prof. Mustafa Elnainay, with coordination by Prof. Ahmed Younes—is organizing an online Summer Training Program in Quantum Computing and Quantum Programming in partnership with QWorld, QEgypt, and the Alexandria Quantum Computing Group (AleQCG). The program has been officially endorsed by UNESCO as one of the key activities of IYQ 2025, reflecting its global importance and academic credibility.

Taking place from July to September 2025, the program offers a rigorous 12-week curriculum with lectures, lab work, and projects in quantum algorithms, quantum circuits, and quantum programming. It is designed for students from Egyptian and Arab universities with a background in Python programming and basic mathematics (linear algebra and trigonometry). Participants will receive certificates from QWorld, and may also qualify for academic credit, subject to their university’s approval.

The training is conducted entirely online in English using platforms such as Canvas LMS, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and YouTube. Active participation, including quizzes and homework (worth 70%), and a final 2-week project (worth 30%), is mandatory. Students who fail to participate consistently or score below thresholds may be excluded.
