A Student Delegation from the Petroleum & Gas Engineering Program at AIU Visits Schlumberger SLB to Learn About the Latest Petroleum Industry Technologies

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam ElKordi, President of Alamein International University, and Professor Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Remon Eskandar, Director of Engineering Programs at the Faculty of Engineering, and coordinated by Professor Dr. El-Sayed El-Ashtokhy, Professor of Chemical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering at Alamein International University organized an exceptional scientific visit to Schlumberger SLB—one of the world’s leading companies in oil and gas services and technologies—on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

This visit is part of the university’s ongoing collaboration with the industrial sector to enhance students’ practical knowledge and expose them to the latest technological advancements in this vital field. During the visit, students explored the latest equipment and technologies used in oil exploration and production processes, and engaged in discussion sessions with company experts about contemporary challenges facing the energy sector, in addition to reviewing prospects for future development in the industry.

Schlumberger’s management emphasized its steadfast commitment to supporting engineering education and nurturing young talent, noting that such initiatives help build a new generation of engineers capable of keeping pace with the evolving demands of the industry.
