Alamein International University Receives a High-Level Delegation from James Madison University to Strengthen Academic Cooperation

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Elnainay, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, welcomed a high-level delegation from James Madison University, USA. This visit, which has been ongoing since last week, aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the two universities.

The delegation included Prof. Jeffery Tang, Dean of the College of Integrated Science and Engineering; Prof. Vetria Byrd, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Associate Professor at James Madison University; and Prof. Dr. Sami Altawab, Director of the Information Technology Program in the Department of Computer Science at James Madison University.

The visit featured an extensive meeting during which both parties discussed all possible avenues of collaboration. The meeting was attended by deans of the university’s faculties and program directors. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Elnainay and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Elyazbi, Executive Director of the Scientific Research and Innovation Complex at the university, delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the university’s programs, academic and research capabilities, as well as its outstanding international partnerships.

Following the meeting, Dr. Nefertiti El Nakhily, Assistant Professor in the Molecular Biotechnology Program, accompanied the American delegation on a tour of the university’s faculties and laboratories. The delegation expressed their great admiration for the advanced scientific facilities and state-of-the-art equipment they saw during the tour, which included the faculties of Pharmacy, Engineering, Basic Sciences, Arts and Design, and Computer Science and Engineering.

After the tour, the delegation met with students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Alamein International University and their counterparts from James Madison University, who are working on a series of joint research and applied projects. They discussed some of the ongoing ideas and exchanged views on how to develop and enhance these projects to achieve outstanding research results.

This visit comes as part of Alamein International University’s strategy to strengthen academic cooperation and joint training with leading global universities, aiming to provide its students with exceptional international experiences that qualify them to compete in local and international job markets.
