Delegation from University of Louisville visits AIU

In continuation of the success of cooperation with Alamein International University, Delegation from University of Louisville begins their visit to sign an agreement to add a number of engineering programs for cooperation and discuss the inclusion of the public health program.

Today, delegation from University of Louisville begins their official visit to Egypt to sign and discuss various agreements with Alamein International University (AIU) and five governmental universities under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education.

This visit is a result of the successful collaboration between the University of Louisville (UofL) and AIU, which includes these five governmental universities. Additionally, we are celebrating the graduation of the first group of Egyptian students from the 2+2 programs.

The administration at both universities has decided to extend the current agreement to encompass all Engineering programs within the existing 2+2 framework and initiate discussions to include the School of Public Health in the agreement. Furthermore, we will explore the possibility of establishing a new “1+1” agreement for the Master of Science degree.

We will formalize and discuss these agreements at the Ministry of Higher Education in the presence of Prof. Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education. During our visit, we will also visit Alexandria University and AIU to explore potential areas of increased collaboration with UofL. Lastly, we will meet with the leadership of the American University in Cairo to discuss the current USAID agreement and UofL’s plan to host the second group from the USAID program for a semester. This initiative will provide Egyptian students with the opportunity to participate in study abroad programs, fostering hope for a bright future among our youth.
