Meeting for stakeholders committee in the Accounting profession at AIU

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, and Professor Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nashwa Shaker Ragab, Programs Director of the Faculty of Business, and as part of the university’s keen endeavor to link academic programs with the needs of the labor market and maintain continuous communication with relevant partners and professional leadership, the Faculty of Business held the first meeting for stakeholders committee in the Accounting profession. This was to gather their opinions and discuss their perspectives regarding the scientific and skillful content of the curriculum for the Accounting and Information Systems program. The meeting was attended by Accountant Mr. Hossam Abdelwahab- CPA- Former Partner KPMG Egypt – Hazem Hassan, Accountant Mr. Adel Abdelazeim Corporate finance director at Pharco group, Dr. Ahmed Magdy Mansour Economic Expert and Consultant and Senior Corporate Manager at Commercial International Bank – CIB and Eng. Mohamed Hanafy Abdelkader Director of Digital Marketing Academy – ITI, MCIT.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Maged Farouk Elsaid, Advisor to the University President for Administrative and Information Affairs, and Dr. Reda Adel Elazab, Assistant professor of Accounting and Auditing. The Accounting and Information Systems program was presented and reviewed. Additionally, various aspects of the educational process, teaching tools, and different skill activities adopted by the program were discussed. The attendees exchanged views in the context of the changes that occurred in the accounting profession and the development of the role of the accountant with the use of information systems. The attendees praised the university and the college for their efforts in using the latest teaching and learning methods and adopting a curriculum that aligns with the latest international standards for accounting education.
