Students of Faculty of Science visit the Egyptian Petrochemical Company

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam El Kordi, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, and based on the University’s keenness to support scientific and practical cooperation in order to develop communication and exchange of experiences between the University and industrial institutions, and to generalize benefit from the applied side and exchange information and experiences in the fields of Advanced technology, as well as linking academic study, industry and course content to industry using the latest distinguished technologies in the local, regional and international labor market, a scientific visit was organized for a delegation of second-level students at the Faculty of Science at AIU to the Egyptian Petrochemical Company on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, under supervision and coordination of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Essam Hagar, Professor of Organic Chemistry, representing AIU, along with the Director of Academic Programs of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Salem Badawy, and Chemist Ahmed El Mukare, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Petrochemical Company, where the visit included learning about the stages of manufacturing polyvinyl chloride inside the PVC factory. A field visit was conducted and an explanation was given about the manufacturing and characterization stages of the company’s various polymers, which develop advanced solutions that provide students with modern skills and qualify them for the labor market on a local, regional and international scale.
