Alamein International University has become a member of the EMUNI Mediterranean Universities Network, following the signing of the membership agreement between AIU and EMUNI University in Slovenia. The agreement was signed during the session held on the sidelines of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of EMUNI on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Georgios Cultural Center in Piran, Slovenia. This step aims to support the establishment of the Mediterranean Higher Education and Research Area and promote cultural dialogue in the Mediterranean region.

The agreement includes the initiation of joint projects to cooperate in regional areas of interest, in accordance with the roadmap for the Union for the Mediterranean, including food and food security, renewable energy and energy security, environment, and climate change.

As part of this collaboration, several joint seminars, training programs, and conferences will be organized, in addition to exchanging experiences and cooperation in regional areas of interest.
