Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi- President of Alamein International University, participated in the activities of the International Conference “Religious Awareness of Youth in the Digital Era” held at Suez University under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Osama Mohamed Al-Abd – Secretary General of the Association of Islamic Universities and Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abdel-Azim El Sharkawy – President of Suez University, with the participation of a large number of public figures and university presidents.Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi- President of Alamein International University, stressed during his online speech the significant role that information and communication technology plays in creating new ways of communication through the spread of technologies based on the use of the Internet which would affect the behaviours of its users especially young people, Here lies the importance of using technology and modern means of communication in religious awareness as most new generations of youth and children are deriving their information today from social media and the Internet which may contain much false information.Therefore, the religious call using communication technology has become an urgent necessity that cannot be dispensed but also must be developed continuously in line with the thought of the new generations so that their minds can be addressed to deliver the correct information about religion in addition to the establishing of the rules and teachings of the right religion.
