In continuation of AIU’s distinguished lecturer series, Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi- President of Alamein International University (AIU), Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber- Vice President for Academic Affairs and Prof. Dr. Gihane Gewaifel – Advisor to AIU President for internationalization and international cooperation welcomed Prof. Dr. Andrew Whitelaw Head of the Pathology Division – Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
The meeting included ways of joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, teaching and student exchange. The meeting was followed by a visit of the guest to the buildings of Alamein International University.
On his part, Prof. Dr. Andrew Whitelaw praised the University, its buildings, equipment and the programs offered by AIU to its students, especially pharmacy and public health.
After the reception, Prof. Andrew Whitelaw met with professors and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, where he presented his lecture entitled “Antimicrobial Stewardship in the COVID era, a South African Perspective”.
