Signing a joint cooperation protocol between AIU& the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation & Regulation

A cooperation protocol was signed between Alamein International University (AIU), represented by Professor Dr. Essam Elkordi, University President and the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR), represented by Professor Dr. Ashraf Ismail, President of the Authority, in the presence of Professor Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President of the University for Academics, Dr. Ahmed Safwat, GAHAR Board Member , Dr Maged Farouk , Advisor to the university president for Administrative and Information Systems and Prof. Dr. Rania Elsharkawy , Professor at Alexandria University and Head of the Committee for the Preparation and Development of Accreditation Standards for Medical Laboratories at GAHAR.
Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi welcomed Prof. Dr. Ashraf Ismail and the delegation and introduced the University, Faculties and Programs and the services provided to the students as well as the agreements concluded with some international Universities. He also welcomed the collaboration between the University and the Authority in the medical field especially that the university is one of the smart universities and has a distinct and different vision in the educational aspect.
From his part, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Ismail, president of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation , thanked Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi for the reception, wishing all the success for the cooperation between the two sides, especially that Alamein International University covers an important and large geographical area and has all eligible for success.
The protocol aims to train and produce qualified human cadres, to provide safe and high quality health care services, in accordance with the accreditation standards, issued by the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) which accredited internationally by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQUA).
This is accomplished through the Egyptian certified accreditation professional program (EGYCAP), developed to qualify trainees on how to apply the accreditation standards issued by the Authority, which grants the trainee, after passing the examinations set by the Authority, a Professional Diploma, approved by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
