Prof.Dr. Roushdi Zahran, President of the Board of Trustees of AIU, Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President for Academics, welcomed Prof. Dr. David Stewart, Associate Provost for International Relations, West Virginia University-USA.
Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi welcomed Prof. Dr. David Stewart and gave an explanation about the university, its faculties, programs, buildings, equipment and services it provides to its students and expressed his desire to cooperate with the university, exchanging professors and students, and granting dual and joint degrees from the two universities.
For his part, Prof. David Stewart praised the university and the cooperation agreements concluded between Alamein International University and prestigious international universities, and welcomed the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
After the meeting a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Alamein International University (AIU), represented by Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi, President of the University, and West Virgina University “WVU” represented by Prof.Dr.David Stewart the Associate Provost for International Relations- West Virginia University-USA.
The memorandum includes cooperation between the two sides to enhance academic cooperation, exchange faculty members in the fields of teaching and research, exchange scientific publications and information in areas of common interest, exchange students through exchange programs, develop and organize seminars, forums, workshops, conferences, and granting joint and dual degrees.
Prof. Dr. Stewart met the Deans of Faculties, the Advisor to AIU for internationalization and International cooperation and Program Managers to discuss granting joint and dual degrees, exchanging faculty members and receiving students from West Virginia University at Alamein International University.
This visit comes as a result of the visit of Prof. Dr. Essam ElKordi to West Virginia University in the United States of America last February.
