Prof.Dr. Essam Elkordi received his Excellency Bishop Claudio Lurati, Monsignor Antoine Tawfik and their delegation


Prof.Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Al Alamein International University (AIU), received His Excellency Bishop Claudio Lurati, the Apostolic Vicar of the Latin Church, responsible for many Catholic schools around the Arab Republic of Egypt, Monsignor Antoine Tawfik, the General Vicar, and their delegation, who are representatives of Catholic High Schools in Alexandria. The Schools represented were Saint Charles Bormée, Saint-Jean-Antide, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Marc, Gerard, Notre Dame de Sion, Saint- Vincent, the Franciscans and the Sacred Heart.
President ElKordi began the meeting by welcoming His Excellency Bishop Claudio Lurati and his delegation. He gave an explanation about the university, its faculties, programs and services provided to its students. A video about life at AIU was presented. The discussions covered the university capabilities, as it includes a central library, recreational areas, main playgrounds, a university hospital, and dormitories for students, faculty and staff members as well.
For his part, His Excellency Bishop Claudio Lurati thanked the AIU President ElKordi for the hospitality, and praised the university’s campus and the distinguished programs offered to AIU students.
Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of the University, honored Bishop Claudio Lurati, the Apostolic Vicar of the Latin Church, and commemorative plates were exchanged.
President Elkordi finally accompanied His Excellency Bishop Claudio Lurati and his delegation on a tour around the university campus, including classrooms, laboratories, green areas and playgrounds.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber, the university’s academic representative, Monsignor Antoine Tawfik, the General Vicar of the Latin Church, the friars and sisters of Catholic schools and school directors, AIU faculty deans and program managers.
