Biography

Mahmoud M. Selim received his B.Sc. in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering, with honours from Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University, Egypt. He received his M.Sc. and PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) in 2012 and 2015, respectively. From 2014 to 2015, he was a researcher at the department of Advanced Information Technology, Graduate School of ISEE, Kyushu University, Japan. From 2018 to 2020, he was a postdoctoral research fellow with College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. From October 2022 till October 2023, he was a postdoctoral research fellow with the Department of Information Engineering (DEI), University of Padova, Italy.

Since 2021, he is also serving as an associate professor (On-leave) at the department of Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University, Egypt. He is currently serving as an associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Alamein International University, Egypt. His research interests include radio resource allocation for 5G/B5G/6G networks, 6G enabling technologies, UAV-assisted wireless communications, RIS-assisted wireless communications, design of integrated sensing and communication systems and applications of signal processing in wireless communications.
