President of Alamein International University Welcomes Delegation from New Alamein City Authority

Professor Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, received on Sunday, 22 February 2026, a delegation from the New Alamein City Authority headed by Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalaf Allah, Head of the New Alamein City Authority and Supervisor of the Tourist Villages Authority.

The delegation also included Eng. Mohamed Khalil, Deputy Head of the Alamein Authority, and Mr. Mohamed Samir, Director of Public Relations and Development at the Authority. From the university side, the meeting was attended by Dr. Ibrahim El-Naggar, Secretary-General of the University, and Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Coordinator of the Health Promoting University Initiative.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the latest progress in the university’s construction works and expansion projects, and discussed completion rates of the new academic buildings, student service facilities, and infrastructure networks. They also addressed plans for finalizing educational and research equipment, as well as developing the campus environment and open spaces to support a modern university campus aligned with sustainability standards and quality-of-life principles within New Alamein City.

Discussions further explored ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the university and the city authority in planning, operations, and service provision, in addition to supporting scientific and community events and facilitating procedures related to future expansion. These efforts aim to maximize the university’s role as a key educational and developmental pillar within the city.

Both sides also highlighted the “Health Promoting University” initiative, reviewing mechanisms for its implementation through raising health awareness, organizing medical and outreach campaigns, supporting sports activities and mental health programs, and providing a safe and motivating campus environment that enhances the wellbeing of students and staff and improves overall quality of campus life.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President reaffirmed Alamein International University’s commitment to continued cooperation and coordination with the New Alamein City Authority in support of comprehensive development plans. The delegation, in turn, expressed appreciation for the university’s rapid academic and infrastructural progress and its role in strengthening the city’s position as a modern educational destination.
