Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, the University’s Pharmacy Program carried out a distinguished series of intensive field visits throughout 2026. This comes as part of the University’s commitment to developing students’ skills and strengthening the integration between academic study and practical application within various healthcare institutions.
These visits witnessed broad participation from program students, including internship-year students. The visits were conducted on Thursday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 22, 2026, as part of a comprehensive training plan aimed at enhancing students’ pharmaceutical competencies and preparing them for integration into modern clinical work environments.
The visits included a selection of leading medical institutions, such as Ras El-Tin Naval Military Hospital, Alamein Model Hospital, Borg El Arab University Hospital, Nile Al-Amal Hospital, Ayadi 4040, Elite, Zamzam, Mar Markos, Smouha International Hospital, Alexandria University Hospital for Kidney Diseases (AUH), and Andalusia Al-Shallalat Hospital. These visits provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore diverse healthcare systems and gain insight into the latest practices in advanced pharmaceutical services.
The visits were designed to achieve several educational and practical objectives, most notably enabling students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired through their coursework in real-world settings. They also aimed to link academic curricula with modern medication management practices, in addition to introducing students to digital transformation mechanisms within clinical pharmacy settings in hospitals. Furthermore, the visits highlighted the critical role of pharmacists in intensive care units, the processes involved in the preparation and handling of medications in oncology centers, and various specialized fields within clinical pharmacy.
These experiences significantly contributed to enhancing students’ understanding of comprehensive healthcare and reinforced their sense of professional responsibility toward patients and their families.
Through these field-based initiatives, Alamein International University reaffirms its leading role in preparing qualified pharmacy professionals capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the healthcare sector. This is achieved by providing high-quality training opportunities that support students’ readiness for the job market and strengthen their ability to perform efficiently within advanced medical institutions.
At the conclusion of these visits, Alamein International University extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to all hospitals and healthcare institutions that hosted its students for their valuable support and fruitful cooperation. Their efforts in providing a distinguished training environment have greatly enriched the students’ practical and academic experiences, reflecting the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and the healthcare sector in advancing the educational process.
