In light of Alamein International University’s strategic direction toward strengthening the concept of a health-promoting university, Prof. Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, convened an extensive panel discussion with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Director of the Public Health Program, in the presence of newly appointed teaching assistants who are graduates of the program.
During the meeting, each teaching assistant delivered a comprehensive scientific presentation on health promotion within the university, reflecting the vital role of young academic cadres in supporting this important direction. The discussion also reviewed Alamein International University’s vision for enhancing health within the campus environment and for developing an integrated system that supports the physical, psychological, and social well-being of all members of the university community, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030.
The meeting included a comprehensive presentation of ideas and proposals for developing the University Health Promotion Club, as a strategic step aimed at raising sound health awareness among students and staff, integrating health promotion principles into curricula and academic activities, and supporting health initiatives across various faculties and programs.
The meeting also emphasized the university’s objective of obtaining official accreditation from the World Health Organization (WHO) as a specialized training center in the field of health promotion, further strengthening the university’s leading role at both the local and regional levels.
