Alamein International University is looking for candidates to fulfill the following open position: 

Lab Engineer in the Faculty of Computer Science and Computer Engineering 

The Lab Engineer shall be responsible for preparing laboratory equipment and material for specialized lab kits and co-teaching tutorials and labs of Computer Science and Computer Engineering courses, besides the accreditation and administrative work. The duties and responsibilities and minimum required qualifications are listed below. 

Job Information:

  • Job Title: Lab Engineer in the Faculty of Computer Science and Computer Engineering 
  • Job Location: Alamein International University, New Alamein City, Matrouh Governate 
  • Job Nature: Full-time.
  • Working Hours: 9am-4pm, 5 days a week  
  • Contract Duration: one year contract, renewable based on performance evaluation and university needs.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an on-site resource to individual students and groups accessing computer technology 
  • Helps familiarize students with software 
  • Assists students in registering for classes, completing assignments,  
  • Orients students to the laboratory. 
  • Attends course lectures for courses related to lab equipment.  
  • Acts as lab assistant/facilitator of 24-30 hours per week of labs for the Fall and Spring semesters and 6-10 hours per week in the summer semester, including all related preparation, examination, and accreditation work for the labs.  
  • Assist in preparing courses labs. 
  • Exams proctoring and attendance recording 
  • Assist in grading lab assignments and exam. 
  • Hold office hours (face-to-face and online) to support students. 
  • Assist in developing and customizing software systems used in the University. 
  • Submit a yearly report with his/her achievements. 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by directors. 

Minimum Job Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from an Accredited University. 
  • Maximum age of 35 years by 1/9/2026.  
  • Practical experience is a plus. 
  • Teaching experience is a plus 
  • Familiar with the credit hour system. 
  • Experience in academic quality and accreditation is a plus and has the potential to assist in Accreditation process.   
  • Other experiences related to university functions and activities that may contribute to AIU’s success is a plus. 
  • Excellent Communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team. 
  • Excellent English language command (writing and speaking). 
  • Applicant must hold Egyptian citizenship. 

Assessment Method:

Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews and presentations.
