Environmental, Health& Safety Specialist

Job Information:

  • Job Title: Environmental, Health& Safety Specialist
  • Job Location: Alamein International University, New Alamein City, Matrouh Governate 
  • Job Nature: Full-time.
  • Working Hours: 9am-4pm, Sunday to Thursday  
  • Contract Duration: one year contract, renewable based on performance evaluation and university needs.  

Job Description:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance and compliance.
  • Conduct HSE training sessions for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and exercises.
  • Participate in HSE meetings and represent the organization in external forums

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, and OSHA).
  • 3+ years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in facility management.
  • Maximum age 35 in 8/1/2026.
  • Proven track record of managing HSE programs in universities, or related activities.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant must hold Egyptian citizenship.

Assessment Method:

Short listed candidates will be invited for interview and computer and English exams.
