Civil Engineer

Job Information:

  • Job Title: Civil Engineer
  • Job Location: Alamein International University, New Alamein City, Matrouh Governate 
  • Job Nature: Full-time.
  • Working Hours: 9 am – 4 pm
  • Contract Duration: one year contract, renewable based on performance evaluation and university needs.  

Job Description:

  • Technical Supervision and Execution
    • Site Supervision: Monitoring all execution stages step by step (excavation works, concrete works, masonry works and finishing works).
    • Work Inspection and Handover: Inspecting completed works and ensuring compliance with engineering standards before proceeding to the next stage.
  • Resource Management
    • Labor Management: Directing and distributing tasks among workers and technicians while monitoring their performance.
    • Material Management: Estimating required construction material quantities, requesting them from warehouses or suppliers, and ensuring their quality and proper storage.
  • Quality and Safety Control
    •  Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of the materials used (such as reinforcing steel and concrete) and conducting the necessary laboratory tests.
    • Occupational Health and Safety: Applying site safety instructions, ensuring workers wear protective equipment, and providing a safe working environment.
    • Continuous Coordination: Coordinating between technical office engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow without obstacles.
    • Report Preparation: Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports (DPR) to clarify progress percentages and completed works.
  • Problem Solving: Handling any obstacles or errors that arise during execution immediately and providing suitable engineering solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience in supervision, follow-up, and handover of executed works.
  • Maximum age: 40 years in 1/7/2026
  • Experience in reviewing detailed drawings for structural works.
  • Experience and knowledge in structural design works.
  • Experience and knowledge of the laws and regulations applied in construction contracting works.
  • Experience and knowledge in site
  • management and solving emergency structural problems during execution.
  • Experience and knowledge in preparing conditions and specifications for materials used in execution.
  • Experience and knowledge in preparing specifications and executing structural repairs and rehabilitation works for buildings.

Assessment Method:

Short listed candidates will be invited for interview and computer and English exams.
