Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, and Professor Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and within the framework of the university’s commitment to enhancing academic and practical collaboration while building strategic partnerships with leading healthcare institutions, Alamein International University organized two field visits to Zamzam Hospital and the General Naval Hospital. The visits aimed to explore avenues of mutual cooperation and sign scientific and training cooperation agreements that support the educational process for the university’s students across various medical disciplines.
Professor Dr. Khadija Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alamein International University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Jehan Labib, Director of the Mandatory Training Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy, visited Zamzam Hospital on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, followed by a visit to the General Naval Hospital on Thursday, April 9, 2026, to finalize and complete the signing ceremonies of the scientific cooperation agreements with both institutions.
The two visits aimed to conclude cooperation agreements and discuss mechanisms for strengthening partnership between the university and the hospitals, in addition to providing distinguished practical training opportunities for students of the medical faculties during mid-year and summer vacations. The visits also focused on exchanging expertise between medical and academic professionals in a way that supports the educational and training system.
During the visit to Zamzam Hospital, a meeting was held with the hospital’s senior management, during which the hospital’s advanced capabilities were reviewed, including its medical equipment and various specialties. Discussions also addressed the mechanisms for implementing training programs for Faculty of Pharmacy students across the hospital’s different departments in order to maximize students’ practical benefit.
During the visit to the General Naval Hospital, an inspection tour was conducted throughout the hospital’s various departments, followed by a meeting with the medical and administrative leadership. The meeting focused on ways to provide regular clinical training programs for university students in different medical disciplines, particularly in the fields of Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Physical Therapy.
The two visits also resulted in an agreement to designate focal points from each institution to coordinate joint activities and organize the announcement of proposed training courses for students. In addition, a preliminary framework was developed for the students’ summer training programs to ensure the highest possible level of benefit.
The visits concluded with the signing of cooperation agreements between Alamein International University, represented on behalf of the University President by Professor Dr. Khadija Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and representatives of the concerned hospitals, as part of strengthening scientific and training partnership between both sides. Commemorative photographs were also taken to document this important occasion.
This step reflects Alamein International University’s commitment to expanding its network of cooperation with distinguished healthcare institutions, contributing to the preparation of scientifically and practically qualified healthcare professionals capable of meeting labor market demands and enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.
