Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mustafa El-Nainay, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Alamein International University (AIU) achieved a distinguished research accomplishment during the 6th International Telecommunication Conference (ITC-Egypt 2026), with two research papers from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering accepted for presentation at the conference.
The conference witnessed strong academic competition, with a total of 524 research papers submitted, of which only 213 were accepted, representing an acceptance rate of 40.7%. Notably, one of the two AIU papers was selected among the conference’s Top 5 Papers, according to the official statement issued by the organizing committee.
First Research Paper
“SentinelChain: A Decentralized AI-Blockchain Framework for Malware Detection and Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing”
The paper was accepted for presentation at the conference and was also selected among the Top 5 Papers, in recognition of its innovative contributions to the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and blockchain technology.
The research aims to develop an innovative framework for detecting malware and securely and reliably sharing cyber threat intelligence, thereby contributing to enhanced capabilities for addressing and responding to digital threats.

The paper was co-authored by Dr. Islam Morsi, Information Security Supervisor at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Information Security Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering; Nermin El-Hendy, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty; along with students Mahmoud Abou El-Nasr, Youssef Zaki, Walid Salem, Sara Nasr, Mariam Tahoun, and Ziad Walid.

“Hardware-Efficient 4D Chaos Cipher for Secure Image Transmission in Resource-Constrained Environments”
The research focuses on developing an innovative method for securing digital images, designed to meet the requirements of various modern applications, particularly resource-constrained devices such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, embedded systems, and certain medical applications.
The research reflects the researchers’ commitment to developing efficient solutions in information security and digital image encryption, supporting the secure use of modern technologies across a wide range of fields.

The paper was co-authored by Dr. Essam Abdel Latif, Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Alamein International University, along with students Ahmed Saeed, Mohamed Adel, Marwan Khaled, Ahmed Yasser, Yassin Ahmed, and Mohamed Mostafa Awad.
