Alamein International University (AIU) continues to strengthen its position among the leading universities in the Arab world, achieving a new milestone that adds to its growing record of success. For the fourth consecutive year, the University has been shortlisted for the *Times Higher Education Arab Awards 2026 (THE Arab Awards 2026)*, securing *five distinguished nominations across four major categories* among leading universities and academic institutions from *13 Arab countries**.
This achievement reflects the University’s growing leadership at both the regional and international levels and underscores its pivotal role in strengthening Egypt’s presence in Arab higher education competition. Alamein International University alone contributed **five nominations out of the total 12 nominations received by Egyptian universities this year*, ranking **second among Arab universities with the highest number of nominations**.

* *Dr. Mohamed Ezzat Amin*, Faculty of Pharmacy, who has achieved an exceptional distinction by becoming the *first Egyptian academic to be nominated twice* for this prestigious award.
