Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, and Professor Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships while keeping pace with innovation and digital transformation, the university launched the first in a series of training workshops titled “Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Education and Academic Research” in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).
The workshop was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of the University, who emphasized in his remarks the importance of keeping pace with the rapid advancements in the field of artificial intelligence. He noted that integrating these technologies into the educational system represents a strategic step toward preparing graduates who are capable of competing in the global job market. He also highlighted that this initiative reflects the university’s commitment to adopting the latest educational systems and continuously enhancing the academic learning environment.
Professor Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also explained that these training workshops are part of a comprehensive plan aimed at developing the capabilities of faculty members and promoting the use of modern digital tools in both teaching and research processes. He added that such efforts contribute to improving the quality of academic outcomes and achieving institutional excellence.
The workshop was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rasha Elshinety, Director of the Office of International Relations and External Cooperation at the university. She stated that this series of training workshops will be extended to various university staff members, supporting the advancement of educational and research processes while fostering a culture of innovation and digital transformation across the institution.
The opening session was attended by college deans, program directors, and a distinguished group of faculty members. The workshop focused on practical and interactive aspects, featuring hands-on applications that demonstrated artificial intelligence tools and methods for utilizing them in curriculum development and strengthening scientific research.
The training sessions were delivered by Dr. Amani El-Basyouni, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Lamis Darwish, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, who presented specialized training content combining theoretical foundations with the latest practical applications.
This initiative comes within the framework of Alamein International University’s vision to empower faculty members with the latest technological tools, ensuring the delivery of smart and interactive education that meets students’ aspirations and labor market demands, while further strengthening the university’s position as one of the leading academic institutions in the fields of development and innovation.
