AIU Continues Its Community Service Efforts Through an Art Outreach Convoy for School Students

Under the patronage of Dr. Essam Elkordi, President of Alamein International University, Dr. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Safaa Abdel Salam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and as part of the university’s commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility and reinforcing its pioneering role as a Health Promoting University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Faculty of Arts and Design organized its first outreach convoy of 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Soha Sami, Health Promotion Activities Coordinator at the faculty. The convoy was held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, and visited Ahmed Ragab Primary School in Alamein.

The convoy featured the participation of third-level students from the Visual Arts Program at the faculty, who delivered a wide range of artistic activities designed for pupils in the third, fourth, and fifth primary grades. Students were divided into interactive working groups to ensure effective engagement, close follow-up, and maximum benefit from the activities provided.

The program included a variety of activities such as the fundamentals of drawing and coloring, artistic printing techniques, and stencil applications, all of which contributed to developing the pupils’ creative and sensory skills, while also enhancing their artistic expression and unlocking their innovative potential.

Students from the Visual Arts Program also demonstrated a strong spirit of cooperation and responsibility, helping to create an enjoyable and supportive learning environment for the school pupils. This reflects the vital role played by the Faculty of Arts and Design in connecting education with community service and promoting artistic awareness among younger generations, in line with the university’s strategy for community development and service.
