Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam El-Kordi, President of Alamein International University (AIU), and Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Remon Eskander, Director of the Engineering Programs, Alamein International University continues its efforts to develop its academic programs and advance engineering education in line with the latest academic standards and labor market requirements.
The University announces that the Supreme Council of Universities and the Engineering Studies Sector Committee have approved the amended internal regulations for the undergraduate stage, based on the credit-hour system, at the Faculty of Engineering.
The approval of the new regulations enables the Faculty of Engineering students to complete their studies and graduate in four academic years instead of five, with a total of 144 credit hours across all engineering programs at the University. This change maintains the quality of the educational process, academic content, and scientific and professional preparation provided by the programs, while keeping pace with global developments and enhancing graduates’ readiness to join local, regional, and international labor markets.
This approval follows a comprehensive and thorough review by expert committees of the Supreme Council of Universities, which commended the capabilities and facilities provided by the University to support the educational process, including advanced laboratories, modern workshops, and specialized academic and technical staff, as well as the University’s ongoing development and expansion.

Petroleum & Gas Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Electronics & Communications Engineering
Biomedical Engineering
Construction Engineering & Management
Architectural Design & Digital Architecture
This approval reflects Alamein International University’s commitment to continuously developing its educational system and offering modern academic programs that respond to rapid developments in engineering disciplines and the evolving needs of the labor market, while providing students with a more efficient educational pathway without compromising the quality of educational outcomes.
